Baltimore Choral Arts Society Music Director Anthony Blake Clark
Maestro Clark, now in his seventh year as Music Director of Baltimore Choral Arts, is also the Chorus Director of the Dallas Symphony and Artistic Director of the Bach Vespers at Holy Trinity in New York City. Clark has invited four expert soloists from Bach Vespers to join Choral Arts for this performance: soprano Aani Bourassa, countertenor Logan Tanner, tenor Gene Stenger, and bass-baritone Joseph Parrish.
"Choral music enthusiasts will undoubtedly know Bach's Magnificat as a brilliantly constructed choral masterwork. On March 17, we are performing it together with Rutter's effervescent reimagining of the canticle from 1990. The two pieces together on this program, along with beautiful soloists from Bach Vespers NYC, will be a showcase of the chorus's musical talent and versatility." -Anthony Blake Clark, Music Director of Baltimore Choral Arts

About Baltimore Choral Arts
Baltimore Choral Arts Society is one of Maryland's premier cultural institutions. Our Symphonic Chorus, Chorus, and Chamber Singers can be seen performing throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Europe. Most frequented venues include those in Baltimore, Washington D.C., and New York City. In addition to performing, The Baltimore Choral Arts Society provides several thoughtful and impactful music education programs that serve youth in and around Baltimore. These programs include CoroLAB, a partnership with Baltimore City College’s and Overlea High School’s choral music programs, Vocal Fellows, an expanded professional development program for early-career singers, Student Composer Project, a competition for high-school and college composers, and Sing and Play, a series of free music classes for children ages 0-5. Through these educational programs, Choral Arts serves the very young to early-career adult musicians.
